My fondness and admiration for adaptations inspired me to explore and review adaptations of children's literature to other formats, including film and stage. Though I do find the ratio of adaptations to original scripts in film and theater to be disheartening, I nevertheless am always eager to see how adaptors transform books into visual formats.
My reviews, both in written and video formats, will include a quick synopsis of the original story, a critique of the adaptation itself, and a comparison of the original text and its corresponding adaptation. Evaluating each form separately will allow you, my followers, a chance to experience each form within its chosen medium through my review, while also seeing how they related to each other as they are transformed from text to visual.
I will always recommend reading the literature first, but more often then not, the adaptation can do the original text justice and is always worth a viewing.
